Information about El Coto Golf Course on the Costa del Sol, Spain

El Coto Golf is situated between San Pedro Alcantara and Estepona on the Costa del Sol.

The Architect Pedro Moran a well respected course designer on the Costa del Sol Golf has designed El Coto Golf in the style of Japanese gardens which is bisected by water and requires precision golf to achieve a reasonable score, particularly on the par 3’s which are set in dense vegetation.

El Coto Golf is set in a residencial area, thus following the tendency to incorporate golf courses into building projects.

This course, which serves as a garden for the residents of the urbanisation, also offers peace and quiet in its Japanese-style gardens; a perfect place to relax after a round of golf.

A small golf course, El Coto Golf has nine short holes, dissected in places by various streams, adding a touch of freshness to the attractive surroundings.

Precision is required when teeing-off so as to gain a good position on the fairways.

The club is private but open to visitors, and the tournaments which it frequently hosts gives the place a friendly and competitive atmosphere.
