| The Impact of a Product Launch |
It wasn’t that long ago that Apple launched its new Iphone. All over the news I saw report after report on not only the new gadget but also the impact it was having on Apple itself. Product shares went up, business for that quarter was expected to be wonderful, and Apple was reaping the benefits of a wonderful product launch.
Of course, this is a rather rare example in how great an impact product launches can have. Few companies have the clout to produce such extremely good results, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of companies who have very successful new product launches which lead to better business.
People like to have new things. The right kind of product launch can energize people with expectancy, waiting on the edge of their seat for your new product to be launched just as people might wait in line for a new movie coming out. I’m not saying it’ll be easy to generate this kind of buzz, but you certainly want to whenever your company is launching anything new.
The question is how to create this kind of popularity.
Let’s look back at the example of the Iphone. When it comes right down to it, this isn’t the most revolutionary product. Having as many gadgets in the same device is a nice change, but then, other companies have made similar products before. The reason the Iphone was such a huge deal was because of the marketing campaign that preceded it.
Apple was out there stirring up interest long before the product was going to hit the shelves, and if you have something in the works, you need to be doing the same.
Something else to take note of is the connection between your product and your company. Make sure that everyone you mention your product to is fully aware of who you are in order to draw a strong connection in their mind between your unique idea and your company.
When you mention your idea be sure to have your full color business card at the ready to hand to them. Always use business card printing to have those tools of remembrance at your side. You want to make sure people are always aware of your company name and logo.
For a company like Apple they have the benefit of being so well known people are inclined to remember no matter what. If your company is large enough to boast the same claim, by all means, but for the rest of us business card printing is the best way to keep your name close to your product.
Get people excited about your upcoming product. Make sure everyone is eagerly waiting for your company to make its unveiling. And when the day comes and your product is finally launched, enjoy the benefits of your hard work.
