The Honorable Way Out of Iraq

Americans who believe duty begins and ends at the polls on election day fail to understand all crimes committed in their name are their responsibility. Now we have an opportunity to act responsibly but we won't, as usual.

Americans are now suffering an irresponsibility epidemic. I won\'t punish you if you don\'t punish me. Ha ha ha ha ha. Most of the 109th Congress, the pre election White House, Tommy Franks and the senior military in the Pentagon are all guilty of treason, a capital crime as written in the United States Constitution. All should be tried and executed. Instead, they will be accused of lesser crimes, resign, retire and otherwise continue as though their crimes were a simple error in judgement. Unfortunate mistakes which most of them intend to repeat into the forseeable future. My country right or wrong forever amen.

The American people brought the gift of democracy to Iraq. It turns out the majority who have known the wrath of despotic minority rule have many scores to settle. The disempowered minority despots quake in their shoes at the prospect of fair play and preemtively attack the threatening and vengeful majority. All of us know in our collective soul, there will be a genocide or wholesale minority slaughter the minute the U.S. withdraws any substantial number of forces. Yet reports say 60% of the people want U.S. forces to leave. They are willing to duke it out.

That leaves 40% or close to ten million people who do not want to stay for the fireworks. I say invite them all to the United States. Let the good and loving American people accept some responsibility and show the world how generous we are. Spend the money which would have been spent on unending occupation and corporate rip offs on these people who must deserve better than they have had for nearly 30 years at the hands of Saddam and U.S. foreign policy. Let us embarrass the Arab states who sit idly by waiting for the genocide to come. Let us shame them.

But no, that won't happen, will it? Love and compassion is far too radical for American war mongering tastes. Yet those who would respond to the invitation and assistance, perhaps half of the ten million could not only become great human assets to an arrogant and ungrateful nation which has done nothing to deserve their help to get back on a path of righteousness, justice and mercy. No, we will turn our backs on them and send CARE packages to the survivors.

911 was not a judgment from God as some claimed. It was a warning of the judgment to come. If you do not believe the U.S. Civil War was a judgment for the way European Americans treated native Americans and African slaves which might have been prevented, then of course, the coming American holocaust cannot be prevented either because we are all innocent victims of circumstances beyond our control. None of us deserve judgment and we are about to become innocent victims all over again, while we pretend we cannot, will not be humbled and there is no power which can or will bring us to our knees. Let us all close our eyes to the rot in the barrel and get back to business as usual. Honor every criminal in a suit or uniform and punish every criminal on the street. Who expects any more from us? Nobody, anymore. Mock God. Mock your neighbor. It's the American thing to do.
