I thought I had everything under control when it came to online marketing. I had a nice company provided website that was created by some web marketing geniuses. I was amazed by all of the features of the website and everything it had to offer. This was designed by experts so it had to be what I had been missing in my marketing system. I immediately switched my domain forwarding to my new website. Time went by and I soon noticed I had received 600+ hits of traffic to my new website but I was still not getting any leads. I had this website created by professionals so why was this site not working for me? I was still missing something in my marketing campaign.
The problem with 99% of all company provided websites is that they give no reason for your user, lead, or prospect to get in contact with you. These websites are used to brand your company and your company's product not to promote your business with the company or product. I dare you to take a look at your current company's website and see who this site really benefits. Does your company provided website only have your name and email address listed on it? Maybe there is only a button that says "CONTACT ME" or "REQUEST PRESENTATION". This can lead to the death of your online promotion. I have no problem sending users to my company provided website after I have already captured their contact information.
A successful website promotes you as a person and allows you to share your story about your product, service, and opportunity. The capture page will give your user a reason to take the next step. This is usually accomplished by bribing your prospect to by leave their contact information for an ebook download or a tour of your website. A successful website converts visitors into prospects like you would not believe! The capture box to opt-in to your system should be right on the main page or several times on your main page if you have a long sales letter. Think of the ABC approach--(A) get the Attention of your prospect, (B) Bribe your prospect to take the next step (C) Capture your prospects' information to turn them into a lead.
You can remedy this problem by finding your own capture page system. In my current promotions I'm using three different generic systems to promote my business online. When selecting your system make sure this is something that is easy for others to adopt. I prefer to use a system that allows me to clone my existing squeeze pages over to another user's account. This eliminates the need for your new prospect to learn HTML or spend time focusing on tasks that do not bring in immediate profit. One of these systems is Marketing Make Over Generator.
