Each online dating site is not for everyone. That is why there are so many of them! The site that would work for me...? Probably wouldn’t work for you.
To start, you must shop around. Pick three sites with free trial options and set up your profile.
During the free trial, is the time to “test drive” the site. Check out all of their features. You really want to check out their search options. The more they have the better. Extensive search options will help you narrow down your choices.
You should be able to search by last log in date, city/state, age, height, build, and nationality. To me, these are an absolute must! By limiting your search options, they are taking away your right to choose. Don’t allow any site to do that.
If a site does not have a search option for the last log in date, remove them from your list!
On several sites, I discovered the hard way that a lot of their members hadn’t logged in for 30-60 days! Which meant there were a lot of inactive members on these sites! I’m not paying for “stale” members! When you run into sites like these, cross them off of your list. These are not the right sites for you!
Once you have your profile set up, next you need to “check out the neighborhood”. Check out your neighbors. Are these the types of people you normally hang out with offline? If the answer is no, this is not the site for you to join when the free trial is over.
Once you feel good about the site/s you’ve chose? Start “mingling”!
