Cool Sayings That Point Me In The Right Direction

I like sayings; a combination of words that celebrate optimism nudging me in a positive direction to do things I've always wanted to do.

Here are three of my favorites:

1. The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary. -Vidal Sassoon

Ain't that the truth! There are a few politicians who don't agree with that saying, but then they probably haven't looked at a dictionary in years. I'm not even sure they read.

2. A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but rather with a certain set of attitudes. - Hugh Downs

People say I have an optimistic attitude. That's probably why I'm happy mucking stalls and cleaning mud off horses.

3. One of the things I learned the hard way was it does not pay to get discouraged. Keeping busy and making optimism a way of life can restore your faith in yourself. -Lucille Ball

Lucy was an amazing lady who tickled our funny bone for years with her humorous antics on the T.V. sit-com, I Love Lucy. She always made me laugh. She was a strong, smart business woman who will always be my one of my role models.

So, the moral of this article is: When life presents you with a pile of pucky - look for the pony...or reconstituted golf balls.
