How To Easily Manage Your Task List And Feel Good About It

When beginning your workday, do you make a list of things that need to get done? If you have your own home business, this list is crucial to your day. Without it, you may not get the things accomplished that need to be. Then, as you finish each important task for the day, you can cross it off of your list.

Now, these task lists are good to have, and it is proven that crossing off tasks when you are done provide a natural high. It feels good to cross off those tasks, doesn't it? So, why then, do you not feel good at the end of the day after you have accomplished everything on your list? It is usually because you didn't accomplish all of the important tasks. This is a problem many people have because they don't prioritize their list.

When you are making your task list for the day, you want to first start off by listing everything that needs to be done that day. It doesn't matter how important they all are. If they need to be done, list them.

Next, you should prioritize each item on your list. You can do this by numbering them in order or importance or using a letter system. Whatever works the best for you so you know which ones are the most important and which ones are the least important. The key to this is that you start with the top important tasks first and work your way down. Your goal is to at least get the most important tasks done first. Then, if you have time, you can keep working your way down the list.

Now, the key to using this list correctly is to be sure to get the most important things on your list done first. If you get to the end of your day, and all of your least important tasks are finished, but the most important ones haven't even been started, you have not accomplished what needs to be done.

This type of list is designed so you never have to feel like you didn't get anything done in your day. Remember, if there are still tasks left on the list, you can apply them to the next day's list and prioritize them.

This is a simple formula, really. However, it is not simple if you don't follow it. This can create more time for you in your day and productivity.
