Back seven or eight years ago, I used to listen to conservative talk radio during my work day. It did not stay fresh as I formed the habit. Rush Limbaugh advised us to follow the money. Good advice. Yet he never spoke about what he found when he did so, if he ever did. If he did, he decided to join the money team, get his slice of the pie and keep some secrets.
G. Gordon Liddy often assured us there was no such thing as conspiracy because conspirators would never agree on anything, making conspiracy impossible This from a convicted Watergate conspirator. It wasn't too hard to see if war is good for business, the right wing would guarantee it and the right wing would mock conspiracy charges to discredit people and shut them up. Secrecy, it works for the churches and the war mongers.
Lastly came Doctor Laura who helped us keep our spirits pure while we worked to tithe the blood letters, war profiteers, and all their servants near and far. If this is what we must work for, it is best to do so with a clear conscience. If we can't have a clear conscience there are drugs, media and entertainment to help us create a dull conscience. Observation tells me they all work equally well. Go along, get along and stay out of jail, unless you are a young Gordon Liddy. Accidents will happen.
Iraqi Freedom was the accelerator for the New Age business cycle. It would allow them to spend ten times as fast to fight terrorism, while creating tens of thousands of new terrorists, who guarantee future profits. Two opportunities to capture Osama and thousands of Al Qaeda in Afghanistan but George and Donald decided he and his merry men were more useful as fugitives from the dreaded American justice. No room at the Guantanamo Inn.
Saddam Hussein was fooling with the Iraqi oil supply, causing the market to yo yo. This was bad for business. Better to remove most of it from the marketplace and drive up the prices. Next comes sanctions on Iran, which is in a good position to remove just a portion of its oil from the market, driving prices over $100 per barrel. If they can get the ground forces trained, they can attack Iran militarily and drive oil over $150 per barrel. Can't you hear the draft bugle playing? If they only had an extra two million soldiers to spend.
George Bush and Dick Cheney love Big Oil and invite them to the White House to decide energy policy and foreign policy. They like the Enron business model and they know how not to get caught. So take it from the "paranoid conspiracy theorist", there is no conspiracy. There are only outstanding business opportunities, everywhere we look.
