PLR Articles Don’t Work!

Without fresh, unique content, your website is destined for second best. Or even failure. The search engines won’t cater to it and visitors will be bored and click elsewhere. If you want high-quality, action-taking visitors, then you need the best in one-of-a-kind content.

Perhaps you’ve discovered a quick way to get a website up in hours or even minutes by using free and private label rights (PLR) articles. It DOES eliminate a lot of time, but is it an improvement? Definitely not! Perhaps the quick and dirty implementation is fine to get the site up and running quickly, but you need to make the decision to replace the copied content with real, unique, new and fresh content as soon as you can. Your visitors will not be coming back if you don’t. They and the search engines are looking for something new.

That’s true, but what’s easy is usually not what’s best. This is true for website content. The reason is that the search engines have a way of scoring every website they come across. The sites with the best scores show up at the top of the list when their keywords are searched for by an Internet user. You want to be at the top of this list for your keywords, because studies show that most clicks come from the top of the search results page. Fewer clicks occur at the bottom of the page, and much fewer on the second page. Just imagine how few eyes will see your site listing if it turns up on page 463!

The search engines like to keep a little mystery, so they never reveal exactly how they score websites they visit. However, many things can be ascertained from observation. One is that if a site contains content that is duplicated on other sites, like the article directory you got it from, its score is lowered significantly. Remember, too, that your competitors are searching the same article databases and may be using the exact same articles you are. That won’t give you a competitive advantage! You need unique content to get your score raised and your website shown on the first page. There’s no way around it.

But what if you’re not a writer? There’s an easy way to come up with unique content that the search engines will love, even if you’re not. Here’s how. Start with an article you’ve found on the Internet that fits the subject of your website. Then, rewrite it one paragraph at a time. Don’t copy any of the original wordings, but put it into your own words. Continue on until you have a complete article, all in your own words. Now you have some unique content. The search engines will regard it as such and your score with them will go up, as will your search results placement. Visitors will start coming.

Writing articles is a great way to establish yourself as an expert in your field, and to bring in quality, targeted traffic to your website at no cost to you. This is a skill you should learn and use regularly to get more visitors and bump up that bottom line!
