Some make it in a short period of time but that is not the norm. A business is a business whether in your hometown or on the World Wide Web. Most people though think that the Internet is a magical place where success is guaranteed.
Wrong, let’s take a look at the Real world Entrepreneur.
Look at it this way, if you were going to start a merchant store from scratch. How long would it take to build the building? Maybe six months or longer? Then stock it with products and finally you would have to advertise and wait for customers to start coming in before you made a sale. It may take a year before you get that first sale and you would have put a lot of work into it.
An Internet business is no different. This is why most people fail they give up before they can see the fruits of their labor.
The only way to fail is if you quit !!!
Entrepreneurship and Dreams are one in the same. But you don`t think you dream.
Oh, But We All Do, Think Not. What about that Frustrating Day? When it seemed like everything was going wrong. Remember the thoughts that were going through your mind (if only I had a better job, more money, more time, the freedom to do what I want.)
These are your Dreams to want to make more out of life and living.
Ideas to become an entrepreneur are ever present in our minds and we just fail to realize it, or do we?
What have you always Dreamed of doing, your passion? No matter what it is I will bet we can find a way to make those Dreams Come True. You guessed it by starting a business and becoming self employed.
In Fact the US Department of Labor reported in 2002 women owned nearly 6.5 million businesses up 20% from 1997 and they estimate that figure has almost doubled to more than 10 million.
What is so amazing is. They estimate approximately three quarters of these businesses have No Employees. What does this mean? One individual runs the entire business. One individual just like YOU.
Women are not the only ones seeking something better. We all are.
Having doubts about whether you can make the jump and become an entrepreneur?
You’re not alone. If you asked those that have their own business today. Did they have doubts when they started? I promise you they would all say yes. It’s human nature to fear the unknown, why?
We have been programed that way. Don`t believe me. Think about these facts then.
Have to complete school to be successful: Albert Einstein never finished the 3rd grade and look at all the inventions he’s credited for.
Work for a big company to have security & retirement:
Well our new world order has changed that. Companies are downsizing, laying off and sourcing out work (guess who to, Entrepreneurs: Independent contractors and freelancers) to make an extra buck.
The world has turned upside down. Now it’s actually more secure to work for yourself instead of the big company. Companies are no longer loyal to employees. But if you’re self employed you will never fire yourself, I at least hope not.
Everything we have been taught and learned has been for the industrial age that we are no longer in. Even though we have advanced into the technology age our schools are just now catching on and starting to offer Entrepreneurial Degrees. This will help our youth in the future but most of us are stuck with trying to make ends meet now.
So put your fears behind you and start looking for the Business that’s right for you. Here are some points I want you to consider while you are searching for "Your Business"
Use your Dreams and your Imagination to think of what are the most exciting thoughts you’ve ever had of doing something. If you could do anything you wanted to. Then start your Adventure and research for opportunities and ideas to accomplish it. Think as much with your Heart as with your Head. You know what I mean Trust Your Instincts.
Don`t let age, gender, race, experience or the lack of or anything else in this world keep you from reaching your goals. Anyone can make their Dreams come true. You Can Do It !!! Some of us just need a little help, a little push if you will.
Let`s look at my case and others for example:
Worked over 30yrs in the labor force for the Big Companies(six of them) and got no where Semi retired (means company closed and could not find work.)
At this point frustrated, mad, scared, and not knowing what to do but being persistent to make things better. I found out I could be self employed doing what I loved. Making double what I made with the big boys and only work six (6) months out of the Year. It`s called being an Independent Contractor. All that means is you hire out your services or labor on a contract.
Also started an online information website to help others look at the possibilities of becoming self employed. This is called being an Infopreneur, In a nutshell all this means is an individual like yourself took their dreams, passions, knowledge and experiences on a certain subject and shares it with others on the internet
My wife owns and operates a small town 12 lane Bowling Center and is an independent contractor for cosmetics.
One of my sons (22 yrs and little experience in anything) is an independent contractor and has made more than $20,000 in first quarter 07.
There’s a 14yr old girl who started her own website and is a youth entrepreneur and makes thousands of dollars today just because of a vacation her family took.
Work at home moms have the most innovated businesses on the web that I have ever seen. All you need to do is search a keyword on the web and the sites that pop up are going to be mainly run by work at home moms pursuing their dreams.
So it`s out there if you want it bad enough.

If only I had a Better Job:
Follow your Dreams ! Be an Entrepreneur !
You know it will be something you love doing. You`re going to Love your new boss. If you can`t love yourself how can you love others? No worry about being laid off. No worry about company downsizing. You get paid for what your worth and what you do. Hours are great but I promise you`ll work harder and longer in the beginning because
it`s yours.
If only I had More Money:
When you are doing something you love it stops being work. You start thinking of you business all the time. Not because you have to but because you want to. It is exciting and it is yours. Magical things start to happen.
If only I had More Time:
You can do whatever you want. Spend more time with family, start traveling, start pursuing other dreams you have.
If only I had more Freedom:
Well, how much do you want? It`s all in your hands or better yet It`s all in your heart and mind, whatever you can conceive and believe you can surely achieve.
What Does it Take to Become an Entrepreneur?
Dreams: You already have them.
Research: Acquire the information and knowledge you need.
Failures: Sorry but this is the only way to acquire true experience, working knowledge. But Most of all you must have...
Persistence: I mentioned Albert Einstein who had a third grade education earlier. He was a master of entrepreneurship. His achievements are truly astounding. Did you know that he failed literally thousands of times in his pursuit of his projects or Dreams? Each failure just told him what would not work. His failures were stepping stones for him to reach his end results. His persistence to find the answer was his driving force.
We should all take his example when seeking ideas to become an entrepreneur. His out look on failure and his persistence to achieve success while seeking ways of starting a business to become self employed.
