Is Mindset Important?

There has been a fair bit of discussion about mindset lately and its importance...
I just want to say a few things about it and what I believe is important.
Strategies and $3.00 will get you a cup of coffee, strategies alone will get you nowhere. I truly believe this.

I remember when I was starting out I got all the information I could and was all fired up to get going... excited and ready to make millions... I soon realised that this wasn't gonna happen. Things took time... I had to set up my structures that took time, to be honest it was a pain in the ass...

Then I had to set up accounts with brokers, then talk to finance people I was getting nowhere fast... I was getting nowhere DAMN FAST.

The only thing that kept me going was the belief that all this was worth it. It was a test in a way, to see just how much I wanted to succeed, the only thing that kept me going and pushed me to fill in all those forms, make all those phone calls, do all that paper trading and push on was my mindset.
I knew (thanks to the training I got from Jamie McIntyre) that if I stayed focused and did what ever it took, no matter how futile things seemed that eventually things would go my way.

I really believe that without the difficulties at the start I would more than likely stuffed things up and would not have been able to succeed. The hassles of setting things up and the uncertainty at first are all a valuable lesson on self discipline and it will show you just how much you really want to reach your goals (what ever they may be).

There was for me, a period when I just finished the course of Self Doubt. When I finished the home study course and had all the info it hit me, I no longer had the course to hide behind... I could no longer say "When I finish the course..."
This time was one of the biggest tests I faced. A strong belief in what I had learnt from Jamie McIntyre is what got me through...

When Jamie says people do more to avoid Pain than to gain Pleasure started ringing in my head. At that point I could have said "Nah this is not for me"; "I knew I shouldn't have bothered with this... " But I didn't... I had come that far why not push through the doubt and go the extra step and see what happens??

I'm not really sure what my point is here. But I know that over the last few months there have been a number of new grads who might be in the position I was in almost a Year ago...

(I got Jamie's course on the 12th of August 2005) So I just wanted to say to anybody who might be going through what I was a year ago to Hold on... Stay focused and Keep PUSHING... there isn't anything that can stop you succeeding except yourself... We all have the same info we all know what needs to be done... SO GET IT DONE... do WHAT EVER it takes.

Within a few short months you will be putting things into action and you will look back at this moment and say how could I have thought of giving it up...

I know that everybody has it in them to succeed so don't let anything or anybody stop you or tell you otherwise...

Good Luck
