You've heard of Giblink and everyone has told you it's the best thing since... well, the last Internet craze, right?
Well, maybe it's not right and maybe it is. The simple fact is that you should never join an organization based on what someone said about someone else.
Here's an example of what I mean. It's from an actual email I sent to me by someone considering Giblink. I Changed the name to protect Jack
"Well Jack, my sponsors sponsor told him that Mike G has come on board. And jack, If I have to tell you who Mike G. is, well you just have not been in Internet Success circles yet."
Personally, I'd rather Mike's last name be given. It certainly leaves it open to be Mike Glaspie, but could easily be Mike Gravelrash.
If you want to be involved, look at the upside sure. It's nice to dream. I prefer you to look at the the upside potential (that looks great) versus the downside loss. The downside is for you to decide if it is in your "i'm okay if I lose it" bracket.
I have devoted an entire weblog to keeping a fair and balanced look at Giblink, Gibline & Gibsales. So if you are looking for some reason, sans the hype, there is plenty of reading and many questions addressed, if not fully answered.
It's too new to have all the answers!
