Applying for a student loan is really tempting when there doesn't look like there in another way to pay for your education. You may not realize this but by doing so you can get yourself into a whole lot of financial trouble if you take too much. For any father out there who already has enough to pay for then this may not be the greatest route to take. There is another way for you though. We will not leave you in the dark any longer.
The Federal Pell Grant is being offered to fathers in the United States who are 18 years old or more who are also citizens of the country. For up to 18 semesters or the equivalent you can apply for these grants and receive up to $5100 a semester or $10,000 a year if you meet the aforementioned criteria. You have your choice from over 5000 schools that are taking part in this program which leaves you with basically as much choice as you need. These schools are public, private, and online, so all of the angles are covered. If you would prefer to attend classes, then so be it; if you want to stay home because of children, disability, work, or any other reason, then that is available too.
If you want to go to school, with these grants available there aren't a whole lot of reasons as to why you would say no. It is a free education which is super-easy to apply for. Just get the application from the FAFSA website, follow the simple instructions and you are on your way already. It's truly an amazing thing.
