The Federal Pell Grant has now been changed to be available to more women and mothers than before. Even the amount of the scholarship has been revised.
This is great news to those individuals who desperately want to get their post-secondary education but have had no previous opportunities for such a thing. Women always had their share of duties, whether or not they have children. Atop being a woman if you are a mothers too, oftentimes you have to do multiple jobs and manage home responsibilities. It's not easy. With the crisis it is even more difficult to make ends meet, take care of the family, and oneself at the same time.
The government in realizing that there is a large group of women who want this chance to go to school has also figured out that there is a chance that educating these women could change the country for the better.
They have created a system whereby each person can receive up to $10,000 a year towards their education. This relieves a huge burden from a woman's shoulders immediately. There is no money to pay back, no interest, and no strings – just the freedom to obtain an education and create a new life. This is a perfect way for those women and mothers who have the potential to be anything that they want but haven't been able to afford it in the past. Those days are gone. The money is out there for these women, already put aside for those who want it. The best thing that they can do for themselves, since they deserve it after all of their hard work, is to treat themselves to a better education and a better life.
