The government has put a plan into place to help ease up the effects of the crisis on lower income families. The definition of lower income families may not be as low as most people think. If a family earns less than $30,000 a year, then they are eligible to apply for some of these grants.
There are a number of grants that are available depending on your personal circumstances and there are also programs specifically designed to help various groups of people. For example, there are business grants for families whose business is falling behind on payments or on profits. Other groups include individuals who are falling behind on their mortgage payments, students who would like to get their post-secondary education, and those who are in too much debt to be able to rise above it.
These grants and scholarships will not only decrease the strain on families but will eventually lower the economic instability that the country faces today. When families receive their grants, they will be free to start spending more money. Part of this money goes back to the government in the form of sales tax. Not only this, but after students graduate from college, they will hopefully get good jobs. Certain monies will be taken out of that and go back to the government as well. It's all a big circle, but that is the way it goes. After some months after millions of dollars have been given out, then maybe we will start seeing the difference and the crisis will start lifting.
