President Obama Values Educating Moms - How to Get Your Free $10,000 Scholarship

From his own personal background, President Obama knows how important education is. He watched his own Mother pursue both her undergraduate and graduate degrees under difficult circumstances. She knew what it was like to live on food stamps and student grants, to make sacrifices for her future as well as her children's future.

So it is not hard to see what potential benefits may come from Obama's increases to student aid programs, especially those helping working and single Moms who wish to pursue higher education. When money is tight for so many people, financial aid is more crucial than ever. But in difficult times, the benefits of an education are even more apparent. It's a tough place to be, but with grants and scholarships, it is possible to begin working toward a better future.

The scholarships can be used for any two or four year university, and for traditional and online classes. The money can be used to help pay for tuition and books and in some cases other costs such as a computer. The Pell Grant amount is currently $5,500 and some tax credits may be available for certain families, making the total package worth even more.

In addition to the Pell Grant, prospective students may find additional help through scholarships. Some scholarships are specific to a field of study while others are tied to personal histories, grades, even your hometown. Expect to do some searching but think of it as a part-time job, one that could pay very well.
