| Weight Loss - To Lose That Gut, You've Got to Have Intensity! |
If you are looking to lose your gut then you've got to get off of your rear and start moving. However, once you start moving that alone won't be enough. You've got to move and train your body with intensity. In other words go out and break a sweat.
In order to get your body lean and mean you have got to workout to an extent that your heart rate is elevated at a reasonable level. As a professional trainer I always tell beginners to use the exertion scale. In other words, on a scale of 1 to 10 how exerted do you feel? A 1 can be as simple as standing up off of the couch and a 10 is the hardest physical thing you have ever felt! With a 10 a person should feel like they are about to die if they go any further.
To have an effective workout program for getting in shape and to obtain a noticeable level of fat-loss I have my clients stay between a level of 6 and 8 throughout a training session. Once you get used to working at this more intense level of physical exertion you will readily start to notice big results in your fitness program. This progress will certainly reinforce your behavior in your weight-loss campaign.
