Makeup Tips For Autumn

Autumn is a time of transition. The summer makeup has you light and soft in colors. Winter makeup requires more depth of color and allows for more prominence in the makeup as well. Autumn is a blend of both. You want to start transitioning into more color for the winter months, but autumn may still be warm and enjoyable. Finding the right balance here is not as difficult as you may think, though.

A Few Makeup Tips

This autumn, change up your look from summer just enough to help you to look beautiful and keep your summertime glow as long as possible. Here are some tips that will help you through this process.

1. Start with your foundation. There is no need for a heavy foundation, but your skin likely does not need a bronzer anymore. Therefore, look for a foundation that is light on the skin. If your skin is starting to feel the effects of cold weather, do invest in moisturizers.

2. Transform your look through color. Start moving from the pastels of summer to the more earthy tones of fall. Your eyeshadow may go from the pinks and blue hues of summer, to more earthen shades like oranges and browns for the fall months. Do the same with your blush. Add a little glow to your cheeks, but do not over emphasizes sun tan colors. Your skin should be transitioning to a more natural look.

3. Mascara and eyeliner are important tools, too. Here, you can use liquid eyeliner. Choose to add a bit more than you would during the summertime, but do not overdo it.

One of the nice things about autumn makeup is that it is more natural feeling than most other times of the year. You are transitioning into the wintertime colors and skin tones so be sure you utilize color in all of the makeup products you use.
