Women's Fitness - Time is Your Biggest Challenge!

As a strength and conditioning professional I always have to address the issue of time as it pertains to working out. A common subject that arises from women has to do with many variables concerning time such as length of workouts and being able to fit them into their schedule. This article is directed to you ladies to specifically target this issue within the arena of women's fitness. Read on and learn!

Remember that in order to burn an OPTIMAL level of calories both during a workout and well after you are finished working out you must train with intensity. Raising your level of perceived exertion is the best thing that you can do for yourself in order to achieve incredible results in weight-loss, fat-loss, or even developing a set of six-pack abs! Ladies, in order to get these results you might be thinking that you need to train all day and everyday of the week. This couldn't be further from the truth.

Remember that I said that INTENSITY is the key. Even if you hit a workout comprised of nothing more than using your own body-weight doing squat and push-up combinations your workouts may not last that long. This is ok. You will achieve greater results by training with more intensity than allowing your workouts to linger on with a lack of good hard effort. The beauty of training this way is that your workouts don't have to be long to be effective. Because of this you can readily schedule workouts to fit into your schedule throughout the remainder of the week.

Just remember that you don't need a bunch of equipment and a gym membership to make your fitness program work. Whether you are using just a couple of kettlebells, dumbells, or just your own body-weight you can make big leaps in your fitness program.
