Always plan your activities to be successful by contemplating them from the way that the employee will see them. Some people see a company team building event to be a way to get out of the workplace while others are all about the networking that can happen.
Clients ask questions and in making plans for for this team activity or company team building day, these are all questions you must be able to answer for them through the event's set up.
1. Why are teams so important? They may not realise why there is a requirement to even have a team like atmosphere within the corporation.
2. What is it that's going to stimulate me or even interest me from this planned activity? If they are not thrilled, they are less likely to wish to participate.
3. Who is in my group? Many people wish to feel as if they have someone who will be with them that they know, even if that isn't the goal. What is ensuring that they feel part of a group?
4. How long is this going to take?
5. Why is this so crucial to the boss?
6. What is in it for me when I participate? Answering this question is critical if you want full cooperation. A simple statement of, you will learn. .. is all it takes.
7. What benefit does all of this offer to me? Will I be in a better position because of what I learn here?
8. What amount of authority does this process give me and is that going to change what is currently happening?
9. What happens if I do not participate?
These are some of the questions that you can count on workers asking as soon as the activity is announced. As you contemplate them, you may notice that a substantial amount of them have to do with the individual's level of motivation. The fact is, by the end of the activity, you want them to fully be able to response these questions and you wish to learn their motivation level rise considerably. Organisation team building and strengthening, when done properly, allows this to happen. The key is making plans for and delivering it successfully.
