Kettlebell Performance - The Importance of This Ancient Tool Within Your Athletic Program!

I have been involved in athletics and strength training for most of my life. I have had the fortunate opportunity to coach as a strength and conditioning professional at a high level of competition with some of the greatest athletes in the world. With all of my experience and having a vast understanding of the human body and what makes it work I am still surprised at what some programs lack in terms of their understanding, application, and inclusion of particular elements within their programs.

For starters, it is no secret that I am a huge proponent of kettlebells. Kettlebell training has been widely used for over three centuries by strongmen who have demonstrated feats of strength that were almost at the level of super-human. There is no doubt that this ancient tool bridges the gap between athletic performance and practical application as it pertains to making an athlete better! After all, isn't the goal these days to make the athlete bigger, faster, and stronger?

In any case when properly applied kettlebell training is dynamic, practical, and down right monumental when it comes down to helping one to achieve super strength and the conditioning of a horse! It seems logical to me, since some of the world's strongest men have built their programs around this tool, that every program would seek the knowledge and means to include this within their athletic programs. By the way, don't feed me the line that you will get the same thing from dumbbells, because you won't. That kind of statement only comes from someone who has had NO real experience with kettlebell training.

The bottom line is that if you are not seeking to include this ancient tool that happens to be far ahead of it's time then you are doing your program a disservice! If I have changed your mind or at least got your attention then feel free to read my other articles on kettlebells and training for free!
