Guadalhorce Golf on the Costa del Sol Golf, Spain with its impressive Andalusian mansion built at the end of the 18th century, is a green oasis in the midst of the busy capital and approx 7 km from Costa del Sol’s International Malaga airport.
Guadalhorce Golf Course has an 18-hole golf course divided into two very distinct areas: from the 1st to the 9th the fairways are flat with no major hazards.
But from the 9th to the 18th the course gets quite tricky – the terrain is more uneven, the greens are raised and the fairways are more difficult.
Guadalhorce Golf has a family atmosphere in the Clubhouse and access to the golf course is restricted to members depending on the season and availability.
Although not very well advertised the club offers many other sports activities apart from golf.
As the golf course is located right in the heart of the Costa del Sol Golf there is no shortage of accommodation of all kinds in the area, and Malaga, Torremolinos and Benalmadena are all close by.
Guadalhorce Golf has become one of the best and most hospitable clubs on the Costa Del Sol Golf hosting more than 60 championships a year, the most important being the Vega del Guadalhorce grand prix.
Two years after being opened, Guadalhorce Golf was the venue of the Spanish Men's Singles and Doubles championships.
Guadalhorce Golf Course is a parkland course, with wide fairways lined with tough rough and some banks.
