| Kettlebell Questions and Answers Are Right Here! |
I am frequently asked about the kettlebell, what it is used for, and how I train with it. I have gotten to the point of just giving the simple answer that it is my job because I am a strength and conditioning specialist and run a company that trains people who are either athletes or are serious about getting results. Take a look at some of the following questions below because they may or may not have crossed your mind at some point.
Question: What is that device?
Answer: It is a Russian kettlebell. Its an ancient strength training device that has been used for centuries among elite strong men, military personnel, and law enforcement. It is now starting to make a lot of noise and become more common here in the U.S.
Question: What do you do with it?
Answer: The better question is what can you not do with it? It is the most versatile hand-held device I have ever used. The reality is that the style of training is very different from what you are used to doing inside the four walls of a health club. Training with the bell is a learned technique, but the benefits of using this device blow away anything I have ever tried!
Question: Why do you train with it?
Answer: Once again the better question is why not? Like I said training with this device breeds big results. When using the kettlebell you can integrate hundreds of muscles at once when executing a single lift. Not only does it produce mind-blowing strength, but it gives you unbelievable cardiovascular conditioning, resiliency, and produces high energy all within a single workout. So why not?
