Say The Right Words In Your Booklets

Good content is important to any marketing collateral that is effective. Good content is unique, compelling, and unfortunately, most often missing in many marketing collaterals such as booklet printing. It is a bit ironic actually that many marketing campaigns lack good content in their print booklets when this particular type of collateral should have much to say to its target audience.

Indeed, design is important in every marketing campaign. Nevertheless, without good content to support your design, your booklet printing for one is left to stagnate. In fact, one should not overpower the other. These two elements just need to have a balance between them in order for one campaign to work.

And yes, an excellent copy does make a world of difference when it comes to getting your target readers to take up what you are offering. A good content can help you convince your target readers that your product is a good buy and that they have a compelling reason to do so with your print booklets. It is essential then to attract your target clients to your content so they would make a favorable decision to purchase your product.

So here is an overview of what your content should have in your booklet printing:

1. It should have the benefits spelled out.

Do not try to convince your readers with the features of your products in your print booklets; instead mention all the benefits to them. If you do, chances are that your readers will not be able to relate to your message. All that mumbo jumbo over your features only makes it hard for your readers to fully understand what you are saying. If you were the customer, would you rather be convinced with this phrase – “with 1 liter and 3 cylinders engine size, plus a 5-speed manual transmission that can go at a speed of 80km per hour with city driving”? Or is it easier to relate to this – “with its speed of 80km per hour, the car has a top fuel efficiency that helps you save on costs of as much as $2 per liter.”

2. It should have substantive information rather than aesthetics.

This means keeping your content with information that can educate rather than just make your collateral look good and full. People are naturally smart. They will see through your speech right away especially if you make a promise you surely cannot keep. Instead, give them substantive and compelling information that will make them want to know more. But be sure to make it easy for them to understand your information so they’ll be able to make a decision with what you have in your copy.

3. Choose honesty over exaggeration.

If you mean what you say and you say what you mean, there is no need for you to exaggerate things. As long as you can walk the talk and deliver what you promised, you can be sure that stating the facts can go a long way in providing your readers with a good impression of you and your business.

One final note: as always be sure to have simple and direct content that will make it easy for your readers to understand your message. Too much information can be too much to handle, so make it sweet and short without reducing the impact of your message to your readers.
