Carrying the Load For Strength - A Simple Concept With Monumental Benefits!

I want to introduce to you a workout that involves you completing a rather simple task in it's nature. All you will need is some flat open space to walk and a form of resistance or load to carry. This entire workout is made up of you carrying a load for a designated distance. Before you begin make sure you have some sort of weight like kettlebells, dumbells, sandbags, barbells, or some other practical load to carry around. Next, mark off a designated distance for your weighted walk. To start, you may want attempt a 25 yard distance.

Begin the workout by lining up at one end of the 25 yard area you plan to walk. From here simply grab the weight of your choice and walk the distance. The cool thing is that if you have kettlebells you can carry them by your side like a farmer's walk, or you can change the dynamic and carry the load holding the bells above your head! The same can be done with dumbells, barbells, and sandbags. Just make sure that you continually challenge yourself by steadily increasing the load over time! This concept is known as progressive overload and you will quickly see how this concept works when you are lugging around some serious weighted resistance over time.

This is an incredible workout for someone trying to achieve serious gains in strength and monumental gains in fitness. Make sure you take the time to implement this little program so you can obtain the true benefit from it. Once you do please feel free to let me know what kind of results you got from it!
