| Home Business Success Tips: Will THIS Opportunity Work For Me? |
One of the questions that I often get from frustrated entrepreneurs is something like: “Will this program work for me” or “Is this opportunity legit”.
What most of the people who ask this question don’t realize is that they are asking the wrong question. The reality is that there are literally thousands of home business opportunities out there today. Opportunities in MLM, Affiliate Marketing, Internet Marketing, Real Estate Investing, Stock Trading, etc…The reality is (and always will be) that there are those who make money in the opportunity and those who don’t.
If there are in fact people who can/will make money with an opportunity, then the question should not be “Will this program work for me?” but instead “Will I make this program work for me”.
The difference in these 2 questions is the difference between a “blame” mentality vs. an “ownership” mentality. Those of us who continue to experience success say things like: “If its to be it’s up to me”. Those who continue to experience failure say things like: “I can’t believe that the company did XYZ to me”.
At the age of 21 I decided to spend $4,000 on a real estate investing course. I had approximately $4,100 on my credit card so (needless to say) I was pretty much out of money after I invested in the class.
I sat in the hotel room for 3 days listening to instructors teach. At the end of the 3 days, I left the class and tried my best to be a real estate investor of the next 2 days. After that…I quit.
So, whose fault was it that I never became a successful real estate investor?
If you said it was the fault of the people running the class, then answer me this…how on earth were there people sitting next to me that ended up making money with the same information that I was learning?
It wasn’t until several years later that I realized that it was MY responsibility to make things work. Once I made this important mental shift (and stopped blaming everyone else) my income started to skyrocket!
Will THIS opportunity work for you? Yes, but only if you make it!
