How you get round to your first date also has a bearing on how the event goes, did you just meet in a nightclub? Has a friend set you up on a blind date? Laughing at your dates joke is also a way of making you both feel a little less nervous and help you establish a connection, even if maybe youre not completely impressed with the joke its a way to begin smiling and laughing with each other which helps build a sexual connection especially if you add some small touching gesture with the laughter.
Responding to the conversation or flirtations with interest is crucial and do not look around the room idly, there is nothing worse than trying to connect with someone who is just not interested enough to focus on what youre saying.
Keep the date relatively short in terms of you dont want to run out of things to say and let whatever tension and intrigue you have created fizzle out so make the excuse to get away and leave yourself and your date wanting more rather than looking for the door.
