Ultimate Deadlifting - 2 Styles of Deadlifts to Give You a Mega Back and a Powerful Pull!

The following 2 styles of deadlifts are great for helping you to develop an array of physical characteristics. If you implement the following lifts into your personal program you will find a significant boost in your pulling strength! This will assist you in executing all other types of lifts, but will certainly help you to better execute the traditional barbell style deadlift with more intensity.

1. Kettlebell Suitcase Deadlift: This particular lift has a funny name, but it is a wonderful drill to implement to load more of just one side of your body. It is more of an isolateral type of exercise and can certainly help you to optimize the strength gains you will have on one side of your body. To begin the lift you will need a kettlebell, of course. The drill is rather simple to explain, but unique to look at when one performs the lift. Start the lift by standing with your feet slightly wider than shoulder width distance apart in length. Set the kettlebell on one side of your body next to your foot. To execute the lift simply perform a squat and reach down on the side that the kettlebell is on and pick it up just like you would pick up a suitcase. Fight the temptation to lean to the loaded side of your body. When you lock it out simply lower it back to the ground in a controlled fashion. This will help you to develop a strong back, glutes, and hamstrings!

2. The One-Arm Barbell Deadlift: Did I say one-arm barbell deadlift? Yes, I did. This is an excellent lift to develop tremendous strength in many areas of your body that are essential to have when performing even the traditional deadlift. For this lift you will load a normal size barbell. You will line up your stance just like you would do to execute a normal barbell deadlift. You will be doing the same lift here with the exception that you will only be lifting the bar with one arm. You will want to make sure that you get your grip centered well on the bar to prevent tilting. From here utilize the tension and concentration of your body to go down and execute the lift. Lock out the lift and keep your balance. You will find that your grip will be pushed to the limit. You will find that your strength training program will soar by including this unique lift into your personal weightlifting program.
