8 Internet Marketing Secrets the Gurus Won't Tell you About!

I was blown away when I first saw a free video on how to make a load of money with Google Adwords. You see, I was not sure what I was doing from the beginning and really could have used some guidance. Google can be an excellent place to make a lot of money, but you need to do your homework.

I'm like many of you out there who have spent a lot of money on programs which only give you very basics and leave out the details which really is where the golden nuggets are. Here's a real life example. When setting up a Google Adwords account, and get started on your campaign, most people will just accept the defaults and set up a Search results Ad which in many circumstances is not the type of ad that you want.

A big problem that 99.9% of people placing ads on the net these days is how to make theirs stand out amongst the millions of others. One cool trick that I learned is that you can have your Titles stand out by using the copy write symbol. This is OK with Google and is very appropriate on some ads.

A very common miss step people make when setting up Adwords campaigns, is that they don't specialize and fine tune their demographics which are fully customizable. If you're selling specialty items such as ring tones, you don't want your target audience to be over 30.

When setting up your Adwords URLs, you want them to really stand out and also be relevant and readable. Using dashes is generally not a good practice when you by a domain name, but if you do, in this case, your URL will look really cool. For example, here is a URL that does not stand out - Howtomakeagreatad Instead name it how-to-make-a-great-ad. See the difference. So will your potential customers.

A big hurdle to your success with affiliate marketing is not knowing the 3 major basics. What, Where, How, and Who to market to. Without this precise knowledge Im afraid you're doomed from the start. You need to put some time into this aspect. If you don't, you're bound to fail.

One common pitfall of making money on the internet is getting paid. Most of us have been duped into all kinds of schemes making someone else rich. Getting your own merchant account can be very troublesome if someone throws a charge back at you. PayPal can also be unpredictable and should be dealt with carefully. One service which I've found to be a very safe and honest is Clickbank. They pay on time and in a monthly check.

There are literally millions of things to sell on the internet. The big dilemma of the millennium is which one to sell. Many products sound good to you but are you really an expert. Honestly most people don't have any idea of what will really bring in serious cash. There are sites and services that can be the middle man between you and the vast majority of good selling products. Without this you can get quite lost and really on your inexperience. It's much better to search out, services you can trust who have done most of the work for you so you can concentrate on just selling.
