If you've been waiting for Wii prices to come down after the holidays, you might be disappointed. The Wii is still the number one selling game console, and retailers have really no incentive to reduce prices while demand stays so high. Similar to the situation during the holiday season, inventory at retail stores continues to be low, and prices high. If you are trying to get good Wii prices, your best bet is still to shop online at stores and auction sites.
The highest prices are for Wii bundles that include up to four controllers, four nunchuk attachments, and anywhere from two to five games or more. The prices are higher, but you're getting a lot more for your money. Purchasing all of these pieces as part of a Wii bundle could save you 20% or more over at the retail price for the individual accessories bought separately.
Take for example the Wii prices for Madden NFL 2009 Wii bundle. This bundle includes the popular football game, four controllers, a Wii console, and several additional games that are sports related. Prices for this Wii bundle on eBay are about $400 on auction sites as of this writing. Yet a Wii bundle like this is rarely if ever even available at any retail stores. You can only find it online, and if you shop in auction site like eBay, you can actually get a pretty good price.
The prices for Wii bundles and all variety of console systems across the board are going to be lower online. Prices will be especially affordable if you shot the auction sites and did for the best price or simply scan the volume of sales available at auction.
