Don't eat a heavy meal close to bedtime. However, a light, high carbohydrate snack may help you go to sleep.

Stop smoking completely if you can. If you can't, don't smoke in the evenings or at bedtime.

Establish some relaxing bedtime routines. For example, spend the last 30 minutes before bedtime listening to relaxing music or reading an enjoyable book.

Try to make your room perfect environment for sleep. Simply put, it should be cool, dark and quiet.
