Online Niche Marketing – 7 Ways to Lose Credibility in Article Writing

It is indeed frustrating that you have read an article from start to finish, and yet do not understand what the author is trying to convey. This is especially so when you are doing serious research and chance upon such articles with much time wasted.

Research shows that an article has only the first 7 seconds to hold the attention of readers. The readers scan the contents for what they are looking for and within 7 seconds, they will either continue reading the article or exit to the next one. So ensure that your content is sticky enough to capture readers beyond their 7 seconds.

Now that you know how little time you have to capture your readers, let use explore what irks you most in an article and remember never to commit such atrocities.

The Tone of your article can make or break your chances with your readers.
Simply choose a monotonous tone and murder your readers with boredom!

Unfocused Content without a single proposition to offer readers and that which rants on and on, jumping from one topic to another is a sure success, in Losing readers.

Crowded Articles with too much illustrations, videos, or even extensive list of external links on websites will serve to drive readers away instead of keeping them on the site.

Superfluous Content not supported by legitimate claims that do not deliver serves only to capture the unsuspecting innocent readers. Such content are created to drive away repeat customers at best and is a surefire approach to invite subsequent customer complaints.

Disconnected Content between your title and the promise whereby the promise does not match the title proposition, hence giving rise to the Forever Undelivered Missing Link.

Low Linguistic Proficiency which portrays bad grammar and bad spelling is obviously in bad need for a native language editor.

Abused Bio Box listing out the entire history of life achievement of the author, or almost all, all his websites etc are the best ways to pull your own last straw.

Remember that you write for your readers, so know and write about what they need, not what you think they need, be laser sharp and cut the haze.

In short, understand that achieving Good Content is to simply doing the Opposite of the above.
